Steel Cyclewear & Coffee Shop, Paris
Will Ross, September 17, 2017
Wedged between Paris’ 11th and 19th Arrondissements, Steel toes the line between cyclewear retailer, third wave coffee shop, publisher and ride organiser, as one of Paris’ most prestigous cycling cafes. The light, airy venue and minimal furnishings provide an oasis within a busy quarter of Paris, all the while pulling together the many dynamic trends from brands around the world.
In apparel, Melbourne’s Pedla and Attaquer hang from subtle, wooden furnishings, while bikes from Canyon look on. Local cakes, baguettes, quiches and healthy snacks can be enjoyed throughout the day, while races are shown on a flat-screen TV to keep you in touching with the lastest in the cycling world.
The back catalogue to the company’s magazine, Steel Magazine, is available to browse and purchase at the cafe. Just note Steel is not open Sunday and Monday.
