Subaru present Company 2.0

For those looking for advantageous internships or a career switch, it’s often hard to find companies that really offer that extra lifestyle margin to attract new recruits. The search for organisations that truly promote a balance between productive professionalism and a fulfilling lifestyle can be arduous, and can even discourage job-seekers who originally had intentions to maintain a positive work-play balance during their careers.

Tech companies such as Google, Facebook and Apple are often cited for their efforts in building enjoyable work spaces. The Silicon Valley giants offer tasty treats, fitness instruction, laundry services and of course the famous slide at Google’s HQ in Mountain View, California. What has come to be known as Company 2.0, is now an art-form that attends to aesthetic detail and real, tangible returns for employees.

In tracing this theme, automotive-manufacturer Subaru rolled out their ‘Work Play Love’ Tour during the past two months. The company visited some of the US’s most desirable places to work, setting up stalls and games at 50 companies across the country. Subaru and active lifestyle partners such as KEENIcebreakerYakimaPrana,  TrekOutdoor Research and Osprey took their fleet of 2012 Imprezas, unloading their outdoor games, DIY trail mix station, product demonstrations and giveaways.
