From 10th to 14th October, San Vito le Capo will host its 4th Climbing Festival, featuring a long-weekend of of climbing, kayaking, mountain biking and for the first time, the ‘Black Diamond Night Trail’. Featuring at the event’s gold sponsor, Black Diamond will be bringing climbing athlete Adam Ondra to the event, adding an extra layer to what is set to be a packed few days.

Ondra will be on site to show his latest film at the event’s Film Festival, between sessions on the wall. The cliffs around San Vito lo Capo present world-class climbing with over 600 routes that scale the area’s various limestone faces. Just as the routes serve a wide range of abilities, the Festival will gather the European climbing community at workshops for beginners, and climbing competitions and the Top-Marathon for more experienced climbers.

As for other activities, mountain biking and kayaking are on offer all week. Mountain bike routes wind their way through the challenging Golf of Cofano and the San Vito region. The coast of San Vito is well suited to kayaking with wild coasts, fjords and bays. During the Festival there shall be two kayaking events; the Sea Kayak Race in the waves, and the Kayak Raid which is part of a guided tour in the Golf of Cofano.

Trail Running through the Monte Monaco and Zingaro Nature Reserve is also recommended. There will be a 5km beach-to-peak night race on the Monte Monaco and another in the Zingaro Nature Reserve.
