The annual Marlow 5-mile Road Race takes place in mid-May, providing an early season fixture on the Thames. A flat course tours through town in a single loop, with a handful of sharper corners but no other excuse not to run a personal best. Local running club Handy Cross Runners host the event and publish news and photos on their Facebook Page (there is no dedicated race website).
