Marfa 100 Road Cycling Race in West Texas
Will Ross, July 23, 2025

The West Texas frontier is the location of the Marfa 100, an annual bike race held in support of charitable organisations. Renowned for its downtown art deposits, Marfa’s south-west roadway the 2810 Ranch Road cuts south-west to the Mexico border and sets the stage for the 62-mile route. First held in 2010 in support of Marfa Public Radio, the race has supported local institutions and was taken over by emerging architects Elizabeth Farrell and Zeke Raney.
The route takes you out and back on FM2810, a rolling, low-traffic road which traverses ranch land with views of the Chinati Mountains. Aid stations will be located at the 10 mile mark, 16 mile mark (50k turn-around), 22 mile mark, and 32 mile mark (100k turn-around). See route profile
The race is held in mid-October. Learn more at marfa100.com
