Arc’teryx Gamma Pant Men’s Review

, December 21, 2023

Formerly known as the Arc’teryx Gamma “SL” Pant, the new version is simply referred to as the Gamma Pant. Not to be confused with the Gamma Lightweight Pant which is lighter and made with Aequora AirPerm™ .

The principles of the new edition are the same as the original: a versatile, softshell pant designed for a variety of outdoor activities, but best suited to hiking and general days out. The trousers come in black, green and graphite, equally blending into an outdoors setting or urban adventure.

As for weight, a regular pair weighs just 355g / 12.5 oz, packing down tightly as an obvious carry-on item. Pockets are ergonomic without being generously sized, and a tidy built-in buckle adds an assured fixture to the waistline.

Production is in Vietnam at Spectre Garment Technologies Vietna – an 815-employee facility that Arc’teryx have used since 2020.
