Tuba Club Hotel & Restaurant, Marseille
Will Ross, May 24, 2024

Clinging to the tip of Provence east of Marseille, Tuba Cub occupies a prominent place in France’s repertoire of newer hospitality concepts. First opened in the unfortunate 2020, the hotel and bar have steered beyond a global pandemic nurturing an intimate setting embruing club characteristics on with immediate access to the Mediterranean. As for location, the property is seven miles east of central Marseille in the Les Goudes neighbourhood (think Malibu <> Los Angeles).

Originally a 1980s diving club, the property was transformed into a boutique hotel with interiors designed by Marion Mailaender, drawing inspiration from Le Corbusier’s minimalist aesthetic. The hotel began with five sea-facing cabanon-style rooms and expanded in June 2023 to include three additional rooms, totaling eight accommodations. These rooms range from compact cabins to larger suites, all emphasising simplicity and a connection to the sea.
