Thule Chasm 110L Wheeled Duffel Suitcase

With the Thule Chasm family, the Malmö-based brand manifests its “Bring your life” maxim fully. Whereas duffel bags like the Black Hole 120L from Patagonia are lightweight and packable themselves, the Thule Chasm 110L Wheel Duffel offers a structured holdall for multi-sport trips covering more than one season.
The main compartment of the bag includes mesh pockets zipped into the roof, while an exterior pocket beside the main drag handle. Others might prefer the upper pockets to be sealed for storing dirty kit, but packing cubes are the solution to this (the mesh sleeves aren’t big enough for laundry anyway).
Otherwise, the main cavity is a catch-all for items, firmly sealed with a sturdy, non-fussy zip.

Despite the heft of the Chasm suitcase, it rolls well and kicks off curbs with stolid resolve, emanating a confident hum. While the 4.6kg weight of the pack can be beaten, the telescopic handle and firm casing provides a sure tug and reassuring roll with a low centre of gravity.
As for reducing the carbon emissions and water use during manufacturing, Thule has ensured that all exterior and interior fabrics, webbings and mesh are made of 100% recycled materials – 900D polyester (Phthalate-free laminate). The Chasm is currently made in Indonesia.
The durability and scant-cool aesthetics now brace against time – select the black, khaki or “pond grey” colorway.
