, February 5, 2025

The vantage point of the Rosewood’s in Tuscany hotel is found 115km south of Florence. A broad collection of outhouses and a main house span the hilltop with the valley cascading below.

Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco opened as a hotel in 2008 within a 5,000-acre historic country estate in Montalcino, Tuscany. Located in the UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia, this 900-year-old property encompasses ancient castle ruins and a medieval church, embracing the region’s rich winemaking heritage.

The buildings have been converted into 42 suites housed within the beautifully restored borgo (village), with 11 villas crafted from renovated farmhouses dating back to the 17th century. Interiors embrace a Tuscan elegance steered by designer Teresa Burgisser.
