Originally a 25-story office building completed in 1995, Ovolo Central underwent a significant transformation to join the boutique ranks of Small Luxury Hotels and Design Hotels. It was first licensed and converted into a serviced apartment building in 2003 before its final conversion into a full-service premium guesthouse in 2011. Located in Central Hong Kong, giving easy access to gateway to the city’s vibrant SoHo and Lan Kwai Fong districts as well as athletic infrastructure – a Rapha Clubhouse and trails on the Peak.
The hotel’s architecture features a delicate, glazed black metal grid facade that breaks down the scale of the building, giving it a more residential feel. Interiors are inspired Ovolo’s fresh and funky brand aesthetic, with a playful and artistic details that pair with refined edges (rooms aren’t cluttered). 41 rooms spread across its 25 floors, spanning three main room types: the Gold Room, the Platinum Room, and the signature Radio Suite – prices starting from $200 USD (2025).
