The Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim is an annual open-water race that spans the 4.1km (2.5-mile) strait known as “The Narrows” between the two Caribbean islands. Starting at Oualie Beach on Nevis, swimmers navigate the channel to the finish at Cockleshell Bay on St. Kitts – a race that celebrates its 25th edition in 2026.

Participants range from elite athletes to recreational swimmers – expect a the holidaying crowds to tag on their swim to sandy, rum-inspired visits. The race offers two categories: a competitive class and an assisted class for those who wish to use fins or other aids.
