The IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence race is scheduled for Sunday May 17th 2026, taking place in the picturesque region of Provence north of Marseille. The race is a point-to-point course, adding a layer of logistical complexity for participants within the idyllic setting known the charming Lourmarin and Avignon.

The race starts with a 1.9 km swim in the calm waters of Lac de Peyrolles, located approximately 20km from Aix-en-Provence. Following the swim, athletes transition to the 90km hilly bike course. The cycling route is known for its scenic views, winding through the Provençal countryside and around Mont Sainte-Victoire before finishing in Aix-en-Provence.

The final leg of the race is a 21.1 km run, which is composed of three loops. This rolling run course takes athletes through the heart of the city, culminating in a finish line in front of the iconic La Rotonde fountain.
