The Trackhouse: Infrastructure for the Bostonian Runner

, July 9, 2017

For those tens of thousands of runners who have the Boston Marathon on their bucket list, an entire relocation to Massachusetts might be a good idea. Located in Back Bay a few blocks from the Charles, Tracksmith’s retail location and “Trackhouse” provides an excellent hub for runners. Whereas these points of confluence are already popular in cycling, running is only just understanding that sneakers aren’t dissimilar from cleats.

Starting in early July 2017, regular weekly training runs are hosted by the brand’s employees, a trio with impressive records in the running world beyond retail. Long runs leave from the store at 9am on Sundays, while Tuesday speed runs set off from 6:30pm, passing through 1.25-2 miles of city to get to the track.

Pro tip: linger in the store’s Eliot Lounge after the run or find your way to the rooftop ice bath after the Sunday run.

Sunday long runs are conveniently published on their Strava Club page, Tracksmith Hare AC, as are their Tuesday speed runs
